World Malaria Day Challenge: NIGERIA

Help protect 15,000 children in our 15th year of partnership with Nothing But Nets!

For the past 15 years, USLI has partnered with Nothing But Nets and committed to fighting the spread of malaria, the leading cause of death among children worldwide. Our support — sending bed nets and raising funds for malaria prevention and treatment protocols — has helped make progress around the world and saved over 66,000 lives. But there is more work to do.

Join the 2021 World Malaria Day Challenge to support Nigeria, the country most burdened by malaria. Borno, a northeastern Nigerian state, is the epicenter of a decade-long conflict between government and armed opposition forces. Over two million Borno residents, mostly women and very young children, have been displaced. Displaced people are particularly vulnerable to malaria, as travel and a lack of accessible health care can compromise immunity. We will be sending lifesaving bed nets to Borno and supporting an indoor spraying campaign, which is a safe and highly effective method of killing malaria-carrying mosquitoes.

We are accepting donations from now through World Malaria Day on Sunday, April 25. Donations will be matched by Nothing But Nets up to $100,000, saving as many as 15,000 children from the disease.
